Security Deposit |
|
As we have always said Security Deposits are our least
favourite thing to deal with. We are in the business
of bringing people together in resort to have a fantastic
season and enjoy skiing and boarding, we do not want
to be property police and have guests feel bitter towards
ourselves at the end of the season for taking deductions
from their damage deposits
After 9 seasons and huge amounts of feedback from guests
we are implementing a system this year that we believe
will address and hopefully solve the end of season blues.
It is based on 3 key features
1. SeasonLets - The 'Owners' will hold the security
deposit, and as the Occupier you will deal direct with
the Owner for any damages/deductions.
We will still be here to help you if you have any problems
in this process.
2. Shared Accommodation - Whether you are staying
for 1 month or 6 months damage deposits are processed
at the end of the season and calculated on a per month
stayed basis.
We do not do inspections as
each individual person leaves or each person arrives,
as to have a professional cleaner come in and fully
clean each time would mean a lot more cleaning charges
in total for the guests and a lot more unfair. If we know the date and how something happened, then only the responsible party or those resident at that time are charged. We always
use professional cleaners at the end of the season,
but this doesn't mean that by putting in the effort
and cleaning yourselves is a waste of time. It just
means that the amount of cleaning required to be done
by the professional is reduced, therefore the cleaning
bill will be reduced, even a zero bill.
We DO NOT hide a cleaning charge in the cost of your
holiday or include an amount for ''expected'' damages
into the cost, as we believe this is unfair to the people
who do clean and respect the properties they are staying
in.
3. Insurance - By purchasing the travel insurance
we recommend on our site you are covered for Personal
Liability, including damage done to the property (seasonlet
and shared).
This will be the individuals
responsibility to report any damages to the insurance
company/resort manager.

Insurance Coverage - Section F
So have a great season but respect the property you
are staying in, keep it clean regularly and replace
anything you break, it is that simple.
