Laundry costs:
The bed linen will be washed on a regular basis, but
your clothes are up to you. The laundry facilities in
Tignes are numerous. One load, which is approximately
a bin bag (5 Kg) washed, dryed and folded is 8€..
This takes all the work out washing and leaves more
time for riding.
Towels:
Bring your own towels
Drinking water: The
tap water in the Alps is drinkable but occasionally
contains French bugs. As with any foreign country it
will take a while to get used to drinking it so it is
advisable to drink bottled water. This will cost about
0,62€ a litre in Casino.
The Electricity
In France is 220V so you can use all appliances
safely, you will need a continental adapter which is
available from tesco's for £5.99. This will allow
the use of hairdryer, shaver, stereo and clippers.
Kitchen
The kitchen will be fully equipped and available
for everyone's use at all times. As it is a common kitchen
its cleanliness must be maintained at all times by ALL
seasoners.
Telephones are simple
to use and phone cards can be purchased from all Tabacs,
50F, 100F. The bigger the card you buy the cheaper the
rate you get. A special international card is now available
giving 50 minutes for only 50 FF. The best thing to
do though is get the person you're ringing to ring you
back!
Internet - 7€
per half hour. Various cafes around town. |

Here at Seasonaires we have aimed to make doing
a season as easy and as affordable as possible. The
price you pay Seasonaires for your trip includes all
the main expenses that would be incurred by every individual
doing a season. After these have been paid for is where
the budgeting and spending habits are different for
every person.
This is an average breakdown for the season. Not being
extravagant, but not being tight. You can either spend
more or less, its up to you!

If your Tignes Season pass is included in the price
then it will be ready and waiting for you when you arrive.
To make this happen we will need 2 passport sized photos
at least 12 weeks prior to departure. If they are late
then we can not guarantee your pass being ready on the
first day !
Your pass gives you full access to the Tignes
Area.
Included in the pass is also 26€ (instead
of 52€) day tickets at Espace Killy (Val D'Isere).
Be Warned! If you lose your pass you will
have to pay for a new one (unless covered by insurance)
There are EXTRAS associated with the season pass |

Depending on what package you choose travel might be
included in the price. The Snow Train is the simplest
and most hassle free way to get to the French Alps.
All return tickets are exchangeable and refundable,
allowing you the freedom to customize your return travel
date. You arrive directly in the Alps so there is only
a short 35 min transfer to Tignes and your home for
the winter.
Train
The Snow Train runs direct from Waterloo
Station in London to Bourg St Maurice in the Alps. It
is comfortable and takes about the same time as flying
and the transfer but allows you to kick back and relax
the whole way there.
Usual dates are around Sat 9th Jan - Sat Apr 3rd, the
exact dates can vary and are not fixed untill you receive
your train tickets approx 4 weeks prior to departure.
Ferry + Car
The ferry is for if you are planning to
bring your car out. There is an extra £20 charge
and then its up to you to plan your route, tolls and
petrol expenses. We provide directions for 'Toll Roads',
an 8 hr journey.
Dont forget to get the proper insurance for driving
in Europe and check the current regulations with the
AA to see what spares you will need to carry. |
