Custom - High Season Package,
2006/2007
For a first season Seasonaires offer a great service where they will sort things out for you from transfers, lift passes to a new kettle for the apres ski cup of tea. The accommodation is in a perfect location to make life easy for a nice relaxing stress free season. I learnt backflips off everything, my riding has improved 110%. The accommodation was really spacious i saw a friends place and it was a box compared to Les Tufs. Great group of lads to ride with.

Self Catered Package,
2005/2006
Living in Tignes for the season has proven to be rich tapestry of
experience & emotion.
Between regular croquet games & knitting sessions, We have also found
time to ride some of the best mountain terrain Europe has to offer.
From amazing powder to ample parks.
As we are nestled in the heart of the valley, it is very exciting for all of us.
We wake up every morning in the beautiful French alpes, and all we have to decide is where to go snowboarding !
After an excellent day, We get home have dinner and go out for a few drinks.
Stumble home, Sleep and do it all again the next day.
I call it winning the Lottery

Tignes is famous for top class skiing and snowboarding. This resort offers world-class terrain and is linked via pistes to its also-famous neighbour, Val d'Isere. The two resort towns make up the Espace Killy resort, offering hectares of the highest and most challenging terrain in the French Alps. Tignes is a large resort-town that is planned over three main areas: Val Claret, La Lac and Lavachet, which surround a central alpine lake. Les Breviere is a smaller village in the lower part of Tignes, easily accessible by shuttlebus and the pistes. Tignes has everything you would expect from a world-class resort - thousands of hectares of terrain, numerous snowparks, host to international snowboarding and ski events, and has a friendly, bustling apres-boarding party scene. If you stay in Tignes, you will be ready to ride hard, party hard and go hard. It is the perfect resort for Seasonaires who want to be in the thick of the action, our accommodation is just metres from the lifts.

Budget |
TOP |
Obviously, everyone has different ideas on what their budget is. Here is a guide to how much things cost if you are staying in Tignes. If you stay in accommodation in Val Claret, you will find that for groceries and most items - you'll pay in-resort prices. If you;re on a budget, a trip down to Bourg St Maurice to stock up on essentials is a good idea! We have had people spend as little as £800 throughout their 5-month season - so it can be done, even if you're on a tight budget! An average spend for a season in Tignes is around £1000 - £1500. For example: Eating out at a restaurant 8 euros - 20 euros per person Cook your own English Breakfast each day 2-3 euros a day Panini, Chocolate bar, drink 7-10 euros per day A crate of 24 bottles of beer 8-10 euros It's hard to resist the pull of the apres-boarding bars, a Seasonaire pub-crawls - so bring your drinking money!

Medical/Accidents |
TOP |
Accident ProtocolWe hope that nothing will happen and no one will get sick, but we would be silly not to prepare for an incident. Your host will have to hand your insurance details and will ready to help should something go worng. All Seasonaires complete a medical information form and provide emergency contact numbers and names, via their 'My Season' control panel. HospitalThere are medical centres located in Tignes and Val d'Isere, in case of emergencies and smaller injuries. Ambulances are on the ready to transport the seriously injured to the hospital in Bourg St Maurice (20 minutes drive away). The hospital is well-staffed and is a reputable specialist centre. It has its own helipad and chopper for the ride down the mountain if needed. Obviously, it deals with a large number of ski/board-induced injuries and is well-equipped to handle most cases. CostAs everyone MUST have full medical insurance, you will be covered for all hospital costs. You may incur some costs if medicines are prescribed on leaving the hospital, which can be claimed throgh insurance later. If you visit a medical centre in Tignes resort, you will need to pay for your treatment up-front and claim for this through your insurance. Any costs for returning home early, or losing your holiday can be claimed through your insurance company. We recommend that everyone carry their insurance card/details with them always, and your resort host will have your information to hand also. First Aid KitsIt is advisable to bring your own first aid kit, although there will be one available. The standard treat-at-home requirments are: plasters, steri strips, steri wipes, Arnica cream (you will have bruises), Lemsip, painkillers. The supermarkets in Bourg and local pharmacies will also have these items available.
